Somerset Office

I obtained my degree in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University in 2004. I worked 2 years as a direct care staff in a Instituional setting in Somerset Ky; this experience uniquely prepared me for the position as a Case Manager for local SCL provider agencies.

As a case manager, I can assist individuals and their families obtain services and understand how those services will enrich their lives. I help to make sure those services strike a balance between what each person wants, and the skills they need to improve and the supports they need in order to reach their goals. I can help families locate resources and access funding that they may not have otherwise found on their own.

I was first introduced to the field while working my way through college at Pizza hut as a server. A young man with an intellectual disability came to work with me there, and I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time teaching him various job tasks. I took advantage of the first opportunity to apply for a position in the Supported Employment program with a local Supported Employment provider; where I worked as a job coach for years. I attended Lindsey Wilson College-Somerset site and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services and Counseling in 2010. I transferred from being a job coach to a Case Manager, in 2010; I am proud of my work as a Case manager with Reach for the Stars Case Management- company. I will strive to provide quality case management services for you or your family.
